When I Am Me - A Poem by Moe

"All my instincts, they return
And the grand facade, so soon will burn
Without a noise, without my pride
I reach out from the inside..."

impassioned days do call for me
oh let my soul express and share
of pretty gaze in eyes I see
from naked heart to me laid bare

for tongue has touched all sacred place
where lovers lay to speak all truth
that near or far this warm embrace
is never deemed or found uncouth

that God would bless intent refined
these shackles worn in love set free
to chase the pure when passion's blind
for great is He when I am me
