Looking Glass - A Poem by Moe

I stand beside her looking glass
Before me naked, life en masse
Now what I see you call them flaws
And yet to me, demand applause

You show me freckled spots you cursed
Yet sun was blessed to kiss you first
You show me places fat is seen
Yet what's to hold when meat's too lean

You show me marks that stretched your skin
Yet this is proof of life within
You show me places you've seen pain
Yet now I know your strength has gain

And perfect are these flaws in view
For they are all that make up you
Though some be shown to seek the door
As for this man, he seeks the more...
